For Fans of Viking-Era Costume

An  American vendor of clothing and items to reenactors, Historic Enterprises, has just announced that it is now selling its own reproduction of the Skjoldehamn hood. Although it's listed under "men's" Dark Ages clothing, anyone could buy one, since it comes in one size. It can be obtained with or without contrasting-color stitching as a decorative element.

RE-EDIT: Since I wrote this post, Historic Enterprises modified its page on its reproduction hood; it added some pictures but does not appear to have changed the text. Also, I've moved the link to the Historic Enterprises version of the hood (it's now under the word "reproduction" above).

  1. Ooooooh, thanks.

(I'm a little bemused by some of those sentences looking awfully familiar though...)

  2. If you believe they plagiarized text from your page, contact them and ask them to credit you or change the text. I haven't dealt with them on such matters, but I have dealt with them on other requested website changes. They were courteous and responsive.

  4. You're welcome. (I saw the post on your LJ after I wrote my comment.)

I originally thought the idea of making such a hood available to reenactors was kind of neat, though I too regret that they left off the strings. I hope you can get a good resolution with them of the plagiarism issue.
